We run a multi-room or full-home renovation as one project, with one plan, one fixed price and one schedule. Then we stay on your home, and only your home, until the final walkthrough.

Ryan Waddill, our owner, has more than 20 years in the trade and is an ICC-certified building inspector. Axis Homes is family-owned, fully licensed and insured, and has been remodeling San Antonio homes since 2014.

It depends on how many rooms are involved, how much the layout changes and the materials you choose, so we don’t quote from a price list. On the free phone consultation we give you a rough ballpark. After the in-home visit you get one written, fixed price, with allowances for your selections and contingencies built in.
It depends on the scope. A kitchen or bathroom on its own usually takes 4 to 8 weeks of construction, and a multi-room or full-home renovation takes longer. Before we start, you get a shared build schedule with every phase and date. We have never gone over one, and we usually finish early.

No. We only do one job at a time. Once your project starts, we are only on your job until the final walkthrough, and you hear from us every workday.
Yes. Margaret, our designer, shops finishes, fixtures and materials with you, so your selections work together and fit the allowances in your estimate. We also offer 3-D renderings, and custom and semi-custom cabinetry.
Often, yes. The City of San Antonio typically requires a building permit to remodel, and electrical, plumbing and mechanical work need their own permits. Some smaller projects are exempt. Before any work starts, your contractor should tell you which permits your project needs. Our owner, Ryan Waddill, is an ICC-certified building inspector.
The phone consultation is free, and it ends with a rough ballpark. The in-home visit and detailed written estimate have a fee based on the size of the project. It’s waived if you hire us.
